Group Class Descriptions

  • Group Classes are 45 minutes iong.

  • There must be at least 2 dogs signed up for any individual class to run.

  • Classes listed below are classes that we offer, however, they do not all run every month. 

  • Please check the class calendar for up to date information. 

Puppiez

Ages 3-8 months

AKC Star Puppy certificate after 6 classes

Socialization & Puppy Play time

Beginning obedience for the puppy brain

Basic
Skillz

Ages 6+ months
Learning basic obedience is anything but boring in this class! It's all about enhancing the learning experience for humans and pups through games and fun activities. Appropriate for dogs that are able to be in a group setting.

Dogs can earn titles from the American Kennel Club's Family Dog Program, including the canine good citizen and trick dog titles!

LEVEL UP
MUTTZ!

Ages 6+months (Prerequisite: Basic Obedience Skills)

This game-based obedience class ditches boring drills for fun, real-world challenges. It is the ultimate way to polish your dog's existing skills around heavy distractions.

  • Fun Competitions: Practice sit, stay, and recall through exciting group games.

  • Real Distractions: Build focus around toys, noises, and other dogs.

  • Team Bonding: Strengthen your connection through cooperative play.

  • Skill Maintenance: Perfect for basic obedience graduates needing a refresh.

Intermediate
Skillz

Ages 9+ months

PREREQUISITE: Previous training

AKC CGC & CGCA Titles can be tested

This class is to prepare you can your dog to take the AKC CGC

Pack Walk 
 

Pack walks are for dogs with some basic obedience

Skills taught are loose leash walking, recalls, appropriate meet & greets and leash reactivity

You can use this activity towards AKC Fit Dog Titles.

Agility/
Rally
Fun

  • Ages 4+ months

  • This is NOT an obedience class or Agility Confirmation class

  • Class uses practice agility equipment & AKC Rally signs to create a fun working enviroment

  • Class will be held indoors and outdoors (weather permitting)

  • Dress for movement and wear appropritate shoes

Sportz 
Muttz

  • Ages 6+ months

  • This class is a fun way to introduce you and your dog to different dog sports

  • Some activities include agility, rally, AKC Fetch Dog, hoopers agility, AKC Trick Dog, flyball

  • This is NOT an obedience class 

  • Dress for movement and wear appropritate shoes

AKC Fit 
Dog

  • Ages 4+ months

  • PREREQUISITE: Previous training

  • AKC Fit Dog Titles can be earned

  • This class is for HEALTHY dogs and is designed to inspire owners to engage in fitness-related activities with their dog while minimizing the risk of injury

  • Dress for movement and wear appropritate shoes

Cooperative
Care

  • Ages 4+ months

  • This class focuses on skills and behaviors to help empower your dog to be a more willing and confident participant at the vet, groomer and at home!

Puppy
Social

  • Ages 3-6 months

  • This class is designed to expose puppies ages 3-6 months to a wide range of stimuli, including interactions with other puppies, humans, and various environmental experiences (e.g., vacuums, different textures, and surfaces).

  • While some basic obedience skills will be introduced and utilized, the primary focus is on socialization and helping puppies build confidence in new and diverse situations.

Out & About
Muttz

  • This class prepares dogs for the AKC Urban CGC test—a public access evaluation that demonstrates a dog’s ability to remain well-behaved and well-trained in busy, real-world settings.

    Each week features a unique theme (e.g., Farm Day, Shopping Day) and a new location, providing varied environments to practice essential skills like loose-leash walking, polite greetings, ignoring distractions, and navigating crowds.
    Important Notes:

  • Dogs must be non-reactive to other dogs and humans

  • Basic obedience skills are required (sit, down, stay, leash manners, etc.)

  • This class is ideal for handlers aiming to earn the AKC Urban CGC title or simply to improve public manners and reliability in their dogs
